I decided to produce an artwork loosely based on the idea of cave art.

Burning Bright is a contemporary tiger artwork that carries the feel of something ancient. Two presences share the surface: one watchful and immediate, the other like an echo. Suggesting lineage and the way instinct is passed down as surely as stripes.

Layered marks and textural washes evoke cave wall pigment and timeworn surfaces, while the warm, ember-toned palette keeps the piece alive with warmth. Burning Bright sits between myth and memory: a modern image that nods to the first stories humans ever left on stone, and to the enduring bond between parent and offspring.
